It is expected that up to $260,000 in USEPA funding will be awarded in this round on a competitive basis for Projects within the LOCI program area, the Lake Ontario shoreline in New York State and the direct drainage watershed (see map).
Eligible applicants include local government entities (such as municipal boards or commissions); county departments and agencies; organizations with 501(c)(3) status, or citizen groups working in association with such an organization, such as lake or watershed association; and public or private schools or other educational institutions, including colleges and universities. Private businesses, individuals, or state agencies may collaborate with one of the above groups but are not eligible to be the primary applicant under this grant program.
Applications are invited in varying award ranges, depending on project type. See 2006 Local Implementation Project Categories. Contracts for awards will be administered by the Center for Environmental Information, Inc. in Rochester, NY and all EPA rules and regulations will apply. No indirect costs are allowed.
Proposals must be postmarked by June 30, 2006. An original and six copies of each full proposal should be submitted to:
