Home Performance with ENERGY STARSM
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is a program designed to provide homeowners with a Comprehensive Home Assessment (CHA) of their existing home (the home audit). The home audit targets not only energy efficiency issues related to building envelope & HVAC systems, but also home health and safety, and general home comfort issues.
Benefits to Participating Contractors include:
- Cash incentives for:
- contractors completing a CHA
- partnering with other BPI certified contractors
- advertising
- installing ENERGY STAR appliances and/or lighting
- Mass media marketing
- Consumer website with contractor locator (www.getenergysmart.org)
- Toll-free consumer hotline for generating sales leads (1.877.NY.SMART)
- Consumer education materials
- Differentiating the attributes of your business from that of your competitors

- A comprehensive energy assessment of their home's energy, health and safety performance
