Listed below are the projects that we have at various stages of development. Some already have people working on them, but can always use more help. Others do not have any activity at this time. If you are interested in helping us with any of these projects, please contact us.

Assist with investigations and field work associated with the Salmon Creek Watershed Restoration project

Investigate techniques and tools. Establish path forward for these topics. Complete demonstration project at local business.

Muck Lands

Investigate issues surrounding phosphorus flux from the muck lands in Orleans County

Sustainable Energy

Green Directory

Help CEI team develop and market new Green Directory

Green Business Café

Investigate the feasibility of establishing a Green Business Café to showcase green businesses

Energy Consumption Baseline

Research data available on energy consumption in area. Create baseline. Benchmark against similar communities.

Green Energy Technology

Investigate energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Share findings with UGBN members

Waste Minimization

Unwanted Pharmaceuticals

Assist team investigate agricultural sources of pharmaceuticals. Identify funding opportunities. ID best practices.

Monroe County Solid Waste

Prepare a solid waste management profile for MC from 2000 through 2010.

Commercial Food Waste Composting

Investigate technology and feasibility of establishing a commercial food waste composting operation in area

Residential Organics Collection

Investigate feasibility of piloting a residential organics collection program in area
